Please read this blog starting at the bottom of this page
This is the first time I've created a blog and but should have known to flip it around. Maybe next time. Robin
Friday, August 6
We flew home and came back to the real world, grateful for the experiences we had and the friends we made!
Thursday, August 5
The day started with a yummy breakfast at our awesome hotel, then it was on to the big event at Crayola. Read about and watch a video it here. After the program, we ate at the celebration with all of the guests and Crayola workers. Then it was off to the Crayola Activity Center and the Canal Museum. The evening ended at an Italian restaurant in downtown Bethlehem, PA.
Wednesday, August 4th
We flew from Sioux Falls to Allentown, PA, with stop in Chicago. Here's our limo driver to pick us up at the airport. Too bad he didn't drive a limo, only a big SUV with black tinted windows.
We arrived in the afternoon and were taken to the Crayola corporate office where we met Mr. Tip and waited for all to arrive. The gave us a VIP tour of the factory (they no longer do tours on a regular basis).
After the tour, we went out to the solar farm to practice for the program the next day, then to the Bethelhem Brew Works for dinner.

The Story
At the beginning of the summer, Paris and Reagan entered a poster contest, "How I Dream in Green" sponsored by Crayola. The art would be submitted and then posted on Facebook for voting. After the top 25 posters were chosen by Facebook voting, a group at Crayola would choose 10 winners to be the "Green Team". With the help of our friends and family, Paris and Reagan were part of the top 25. Then something really cool happened. BOTH were chosen to be part of the top 10 Green Team! They won a trip to Easton, PA to be part of Crayola's Solar Farm reveal, and each of their schools would win $500 in Crayola products.
The photos below are from the trip they made (with mom) on August 4-6, 2010. It was an incredible experience we won't forget.
We sincerely thank all of our family and friends who voted on Facebook to get the girls to the top 25.
